Tour Itinerary
Day 1:  We will depart this morning at 7:00 a.m. This afternoon we will arrive in Mitchell, South Dakota, in time to view the famous “Corn Palace”. Each year the Palace is decorated with thousands of bushels of corn. Night in Mitchell.

Day 2:  Leaving Mitchell, we head west for a stop at the desolate, yet scenic, Badlands. We will arrive at the wellknown Wall Drug Store in time for lunch. You’ll have an opportunity to shop in the gift store. After lunch, we’ll visit Mt. Rushmore in the Black Hills. You’ll have an opportunity to view the stone carvings of the four former presidents.

Day 3:  We continue our travels west in Wyoming. We’ll spend the night in Livingston, Montana.

Day 4:  This morning you have an opportunity to view Old Faithful Geyser. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll have a guided tour of Yellowstone Park. We’ll leave our guide at Mammoth Hot Springs and continue on a scenic drive into Montana. We’ll spend the night in Helena.

Day 5:  Today we’ll drive “under the big sky” of Montana. As we cross the Canadian Border, we continue our travels to Calgary, Alberta. As we approach our motel, we’ll be able to view, in the distance, the Canadian Rockies. Night in Calgary.

Day 6:  A brief drive will bring us to Banff. There’ll be time to enjoy the beauty of the area and visit the interesting shops. Nearby Lake Louise is often used as a scenic spot for photographers. Its icy, blue-green waters is really a sight to behold. Lake Louise springs from Victoria Glacier, whose melt water carries the silt and rock dust that gives the lake its colors. The massive peaks of the Columbia’s, the forests, and the alpine meadows remain in their true wilderness condition. Tonight we’ll be in Revelstoke, British Columbia.

Day 7:  This morning we’ll rise to view the morning beauty of mountain air. We’ll continue traveling west to Hell’s Gate. A tram will transfer us 153 meters across the Fraser River to the narrowest part of Fraser Canyon to view Hell’s Gate Fishways, built by the joint Canadian U.S. Commission to aid salmon in reaching their spawning grounds. We will be in Vancouver, B.C. area for 2 nights.

Day 8:  A city tour today will show us Vancouver. A great port, tourist mecca and Canada’s doorway to the Orient, Vancouver is the crown jewel of Western Canada. Vancouver’s location reveals spectacular scenery. Stanley Park, on the downtown peninsula, is one of the finest natural parks on the continent.

Day 9:  This morning we’ll board the ferry for Vancouver Island. Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, has postcard landscaping. Victoria, with its uncluttered streets and gardens that bloom year round, is known as Canada’s gentlest city. After a city tour, we’ll visit Butchart Gardens with gardens blooming with the most beautiful flowers you’ve ever seen. Tonight we’ll be in Victoria.

Day 10:  Today we’ll board the ferry at Sidney. After a two and a half hour ferry ride, we’ll be in Washington. We drive along the coast to the Seattle area.

Day 11:  This morning we’ll enjoy nature at its best as we drive through Mt. Rainier National Park. The night will be spent in La Grande.

Day 12:  As we continue southeast, we’ll stop at Twin Falls and view the location where Evel Knievel attempted to leap the Snake River Canyon in 1974. Tonight we’ll be in Burley.

Day 13:  After a short drive this morning, we’ll be in Salt Lake City and visit Temple Square. After a tour and our noon meal, we’ll continue on to Price, Utah, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 14:  Today we’ll travel through some of the best mountain scenery in Colorado, maybe the best in our country. We’ll spend the night in Denver.

Day 15:  Today we’ll reminisce about our days together through the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
