Tour Itinerary
  Day 1:  Today we fly into the Washington, D.C. area to begin our East Coast Splendors Tour. There will be so much to see and do. We will be in the D.C. area for 3 nights.

Day 2 & 3:  Today we’ll tour Washington, D.C. Included in today’s sites will be the World War II Memorial and the Vietnam Memorial. We also will see the U.S. Capitol and tour the Arlington Cemetary. Also included is a tour of George Washington’s Home, Mt. Vernon. The estate has been wonderfully restored with many of Washington’s personal possessions on display. The Smithsonian and so much more will be included.

Day 4, 5, 6 & 7:  We’ll spend 4 nights in Lancaster. For the next few days, we’ll enjoy historic and exciting Lancaster. We will tour Amish Farmlands and be informed as to their unique way of life. These hardworking and industrious people use no automation of any kind to work their land. Almost everything is done with horse and mule power. On DAY 6 we’re off to Gettysburg. We’ll tour Dwight D. Eisenhower’s Farm Home, their first and only permanent home. We’ll also have a guided tour of the famous Gettysburg Battleground. You’ll see 400 cannons in battle position. This was the largest battle ever fought on our own soil and it was here that Lincoln gave his soulstirring address. DAY 7 we visit the Herr’s Potato Chip Factory. Then shopping and lunch at the Kitchen Kettle Village. Then its time for chocolate at Hershey Chocolate World in Hershey, PA. Before leaving the Lancaster area we will attend the fabulous show Jonah, on one of the world’s largest live performance stages at the Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre.

Day 8:  After a scenic morning drive, we’ll be in the “Big Apple,” NEW YORK CITY. We will have a New York stepon-guide show us the Manhattan area. Two nights in the same motel.

Day 9:  This morning our step-on-guide will take us to the STATUE OF LIBERTY and ELLIS ISLAND. Ellis Island was opened in 1892 for immigrants coming into the United States and closed in 1954. The island was abandoned until 1964. Restoration was completed in August of 1990. The $156 million restoration is the largest ever undertaken in the U.S. We’ll see New York Harbor, the finest harbor in the world. While in New York, we’ll see a Broadway show.

Day 10:  This morning we’re off for PHILADELPHIA. Our tour of this historic city will include Independence Square with the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. We will spend the night in the D.C. area.

Day 11:  We’re homeward bound today with memories which will not be soon forgotten. We will be transferred to the airport for our flight home.
