Tour Itinerary
Day 1:  We’re off for Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Quebec. The scenery you are about to experience is like no other in the world. The Cabot Trail is known all over the world. Get your cameras out - Peggy’s Cove, here we come! We will spend the night in St. Louis, after driving through Missouri.

Day 2:  Today we’ll travel through Illinois and Indiana before arriving in Columbus, Ohio, where we will spend the night.

Day 3:  It won’t be long until we arrive at Niagara Falls for our night’s lodging. Once a honky-tonk town, Niagara Falls is now a very popular place to visit. Canada’s share of Niagara Falls is Horseshoe Falls. Four billion gallons of water per hour thunder 186 feet below the Niagara River. Whether it’s your first or tenth time to view this mighty spectacle, it’s sure to make you stand back in awe.

Day 4:  This morning we’ll head across the state of New York to spend the night in Springfield.

Day 5:  On our way to Portland, Maine, we’ll drive through some of the most beautiful fall colors you’ll see anywhere. The trees are beginning to change their colors as we travel through the White Mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont.

Day 6:  Our adventure really begins as we board the Cat Ferry to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. We cross the Bay of Fundy. Our state-of-the-art Ferry has all the amenities, including an on-board cafeteria. Your adventure of Nova Scotia will begin by traveling through the best part of the west side of Nova Scotia. We will depart Yarmouth for the Evangeline Trail. This area was originally settled by French farm folk, called the Acadians. They lived undisturbed in this area for 150 years before the wars between the English and the French forced the English to expel the Acadians in 1755. Many were sent to Louisiana where they went on to become known as the Cajun people. We will also visit Port Royal Historic Site which tells of the early life in the area and commemorates the Acadians and Longfellow’s tragic heroine, Evangeline. Late in the afternoon we will be in Halifax for the night.

Day 7:  Sit back and enjoy our day with a local guide showing you Halifax and Peggy’s Cove. Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, has mesmerized visitors since its founding in 1749. The guide will introduce you to one of North America’s most unique and captivating destinations. This afternoon we’ll leave British Halifax and travel to the German South Shore to Peggy’s Cove, the third most visited spot in Canada. Halifax for the night.

Day 8:  Leaving Halifax, we’ll travel to Baddeck where we visit the Graham Bell Museum. We’ll spend two nights in Baddeck.

Day 9:  Today we finally drive the Cabot Trail. Take a deep breath—the scenery is spectacular. See awesome views from windswept peaks, infinite steeps of sawtooth rock, lonely beaches and heart-stopping drops down sheer cliffs. You’ll view the Atlantic Ocean from the tip of Cape Breton Island. We’ll also visit the site of the former summer home of Alexander Bell. Second night in Baddeck.

Day 10:  This morning we board the ferry at Caribou for Woods Island, Prince Edward Island. We’ll follow the Kings By-Way through potato fields and farming areas until we arrive in the capital city of Charlottetown. Tonight you will feast on lobster the island way. We’ll spend the night in Charlottetown.

Day 11:  This morning we’ll visit the best of Prince Edward Island. A local guide will join us and show us the most interesting points of the Island which include the House at Green Gables, the setting for Anne of Green Gables. We’ll spend the night in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Day 12:  Our first stop today will be at King’s Landing, a reconstructed 19th Century Loyalist settlement. We’ll continue our travels and visit the world’s largest covered bridge near Hartland. Soon we’ll arrive in Riviere-du-Loup where we’ll spend the night.

Day 13:  We’ll be driving along the St. Lawrence Seaway to the Frenchspeaking city of Quebec this morning. This afternoon we’ll visit the renowned shrine of St. Anne-de-Beaupre. Over one million pilgrims come here every year. Soon after the first chapel was built in 1658, miraculous cures were reported by those who visited the shrine. Nowhere in the world is anything quite like Quebec with its old stone buildings and romantic atmosphere. Night in Quebec City.

Day 14:  Today we continue our travels west through Montreal, the site of the 1976 Olympics. We’ll travel along the St. Lawrence Seaway on Canada’s No. 1 Highway to Gananoque, Ontario. This afternoon we will take a cruise of 1000 Islands including the history of the mighty St. Lawrence Seaway. We’ll spend the night in Gananoque.

Day 17:  As we head southwest through Illinois, we’ll stop for lunch in Bloomington. We’ll be greeted warmly as we stop in St. Louis for our last overnight.

Day 18:  Driving west toward Kansas City, we’ll see some of the most beautiful fall colors in the Midwest. We have seen some of North America’s most majestic sights. We have visited 11 states and 5 provinces. We now have many more close friends than we had 18 days ago. We also have many outstanding memories of our vacation in the Maritime Provinces and our wonderful country of the U.S.A. We’ll be home with hundreds of treasured memories.
